May long weekend

It's the Sunday of the May long weekend - and I haven't done a damn thing so far this weekend!! So much yard work to do.... ACK!!! Can't get that fire under my butt going!!

Been a good girl. Did the complete physical thing. They took a ton of blood outta me. Got the pap smear done. Chest x-rays done. Mammogram done (twice on the left side because the 1st set of pics didn't work!). Won't see the dermatologist until SEPTEMBER for crying out loud!! (for the millions of moles on my poor body to be checked out) Even got my IUD taken out, which has been there for almost 10 years! Now.... do I call my doc to find out the results in a week or do I leave it? The old "no news is good news" thing?

My darling sons came down, on their own, in Chris's "new/old" Ford Explorer for Mother's Day weekend. It was such a treat to have them come here on their own. And leave whenever they decided to go. For years we've had to either hook up with their father in Calgary for a certain time, to do the kid exchange; to make sure to leave in time to catch the bus from the Calgary depot. This time - NO TIMETABLES!!! It was always such a rush, always giving myself a mental 1/2 hr head start, just in case of trouble on the highway - to meet those deadlines! That was one part of the wonderful!!

Another wonderful thing - they cooked this up themselves! Chris had Patrick take some time off work for this road trip. Altho Patrick let it slip on the Wed. nite when I spoke to him!! LOL Can we say "oops"? That's okay, it was our little secret. ~wink~

Altho, I think Brewster may have been an added incentive, but hey, whatever works!! :-)

Feathers!
My aunt on the Island just sent me a special box of FEATHERS!! I'm not sure what kind exactly, but hey, maybe someday I'll figure them out! Mental note to self: Find out what those huge caramel ones came from!!
And Aunt Jean... I use them for my native crafts. Nothing like a feather hanging from a dreamcatcher or medicine bag to add that special "something" to it! :-)

Okay, that's kinda a catch-up on this side...
TTFN
Keep smiling!!
